My Works

Exceeding Your Expectations

3D Environment Modelling

Applications Used: Maya, Photoshop, CSP, Substance Painter, Marmoset Renderer.

This was the game environment I had designed, modelled and painted from scratch.

After basic blocking, I added details to refine every piece of prop and furniture in this room. I took note to optimize the low poly room by removing extra faces and edges whenever possible.

High poly meshes were created after their UVs were unwrapped, and the room was finally brought into Substance Painter to be baked and painted.

Polygon count of the Low-Poly model (circular table + props): 58k

Polygon count of the Low-Poly model (environment): 86k

The player stands in the centre of the circular counter to play the game, and I have designed the room to have multiple 'visual' layers by adding foliage, small steps, and various wall decorations to enrich the four walls of the room.

3D Room Modelling

Applications Used: Maya, Photoshop.

This room was modelled with a picture reference that is at the end of this gallery.

Other than giving custom textures to the furniture, real-life picture assets were used for the two wooden tables and the floor.

3D Prop Modelling

Applications Used: Maya, Substance Painter.

I chose to model a spear from Genshin Impact as my project. I found references for Vortex Vanquisher and modelled it in Maya, creating a low-poly and high-poly version there. Substance Painter was used for the rendering and painting of colours on the spear.

3D Environment Design

Applications Used: Unreal Engine

Using Unreal Engine and free assets off the Epic Games store, I designed a playable level for characters to go through with an abandoned cemetery theme in mind.

2D Digital Painting (Props)

Applications Used: Photoshop

Year 1 Sem 2 (2019)

I was provided with the lineart and painted everything else myself.

2D Digital Painting (Character)

Applications Used: Photoshop.

2D Environment Design

Photoshop

My task was to design a building and illustrate it in an isometric view.
This is the flower cafe I have created.

2D Character Design

Photoshop

My task was to design an original character.

I designed a Briar Witch, whose weapons are floating orbs that responds to her will.  She is a powerful witch, held in high regards within the court, and wears her regalia of golden bands and a layered dress that defies the usual floor-length design to enable her mobility in battle.
